i just got the following mail from Bob Medland, a member of the 
Ngulia Ringing Group:

Hi folks

We got back here the morning having once again survived the delights 
of the drive into Nairobi.

Meanwhile a couple of bird records that I gather may  be of interest:

Somali Bee-eater. Pair approx ½-way along road from Ngulia to Tsavo 
gate, possible nest occupied,12/12/02

Buff-spotted Flufftail. 4 or 5 birds calling around the 
hotel 'spring' area - in mountain slopes behind Ngulia Lodge - 12 & 
13/12/02.
